WERRIBEE will meet Emmaus St Leo's in a semi-final this Sunday directly after defeating it by 42 points to win the minor premiership of the Victorian Amateur Football Association D2 grade on Saturday at Soldiers Reserve.
Coach Kirk Norton said he hoped his team didn't have a false sense of security this week, despite the impressive victory.
"I wouldn't say that we're confident. If we do the things that we know we've got control of and work very hard, I'm sure that we will be more than competitive. But if we for one minute think that we're over the line, then we will get a pretty rude shock because they're a pretty good footy side," Norton said.
"They're more a stop-start side with big bodies everywhere. We're more of a running side with a lot of young kids. It just depends on how the day unfolds."
On Saturday, Nathan Addamo and Darren Morrish starred for the Tigers, with Cameron Lee causing headaches on the forward line with three majors in the 14.18 (102) to 9.6 (60) win.
Werribee and Emmaus St Leo's second semi-final begins at 2pm this Sunday at Sportscover Arena, Elsternwick.
Old Westbourne finished the season in fifth position and lost its final round match to Banyule by 20 points on Saturday.
Full Warriors' wrap next week.
